This type of reset should only be used as a last resort after all other troubleshooting steps have been exhausted. It is highly recommended that you complete a backup of the device information before proceeding with the steps in these instructions..

 

1. From the home screen, tap the Menu key.

2. Tap System settings.

3. Scroll to and tap Backup & reset.

4.Tap to change the Backup & reset options if desired.

5.Tap Factory data reset.

6.Read the warning message.

To clear the device of personal data such as music, photos and other files, ensure Erase USB storage is checked. 

7. Tap Reset phone.

8. Tap Erase everything.

The device may restart several times during the rest process.

The device is now reset.

How to factory reset via hardware:

  • Power off the device completely. You can do this by pulling the battery out and putting it back in.
  • With the device powered off, hold down the Volume Down key.
  • Now hold down the power key.
  • Release all the keys when the screen comes on.
  • When you see the Android System Recovery menu, press Volume Down to scroll to Wipe Data/Factory reset.
  • Tap the Menu key.
  • Press Volume Down to scroll to Yes — Delete all user data.
  • Press the Menu key.
  • Once the wipe is complete, press Volume Down to scroll to Wipe cache parition.
  • Press the menu key.
  • When the wipe is complete tap the Menu key to select Reboot system now.

The factory reset is now complete. The device will restart.

Factory Reset Evo Design 4g

Locked out of your HTC Evo Design 4G?  Try these steps to get your phone back up in action!

  • With the handset turned off, press and hold the Volume Down key.

    Note: To turn the device off completely, remove and reinsert the battery.

  • With the Volume Down key held down, press and hold the Power key.
  • Release all keys when the HBOOT menu appears.
  • Press the Volume Down key to scroll to RECOVERY.
  • With RECOVERY highlighted, press the Power key.
  • When the triangle appears on the screen, press and hold the Volume Up key.
  • With the Volume Up key held down, press the Power key.
  • Release all keys when the Android system recovery menu appears.
  • Press the Volume Down key to scroll to Wipe data/factory reset.
  • With Wipe data/factory reset highlighted, press the Power key.
  • Press the Volume Down key to scroll to Yes — delete all user data.
  • With Yes — delete all user data highlighted, press the Power key.
  • Once the wipe is complete,press the Volume Down key to scroll to Wipe cache partition.
  • With Wipe cache partition highlighted, press the Power key.
  • Once the wipe is complete, press the Power key to select Reboot system now.

Factory Reset Galaxy Note 2

Make sure that the phone is turned completely off.

 

With the phone off press and hold the Volume up key and the home key then press and hold the power key until you see the android recovery screen.

 

Using the Volume up and down keys go to wipe data/factory reset. Select it with the power key.

 

Scroll down to Yes — Delete user data and select it.

 

You will then be brought back to the first screen. Scroll down to wipe cache partition and select it.

 

Your factory reset is now complete.

 

Now we just need to go to reboot system now to restart the phone.

Factory Reset Kyacera Hydro

1.Press and hold the POWER button.

2. Without releasing the POWER button, Press and Hold the Volume Down and the HOME Touch Screen Button (The one that looks like a little house), long enough until you see the Kyocera Hydro logo.

3. you may release the power button BUT NOT the Home and Volume keys.

4. After a couple of seconds you will see a BIG ANDROID LOGONOW you can release both buttons.

5. Use the volume keys to scroll down to WIPE/FACTORY RESET (This will erase everything on your phone except the contents on your MicroSD card).

6. Select the option with the POWER button

7. Use the volume keys to select YES,  You will then return to the previous menu

8. Choose the REBOOT SYSTEM NOW and select with the POWER button

9. The device will reset and restart

10. Master reset via hardware is complete
